Before & After | Guest Bathroom

The final room reveal is the guest bathroom! This one has actually gone through two transformations in the past year and a half. I’m so happy with how far it’s come.

When we bought this home in June 2018, this is how it looked.

The only thing I did immediately was take down that medicine cabinet mirror, and then I didn’t replace it with another mirror for months. Our poor guests had no mirror in the bathroom when they visited :P

After awhile, I decided to finally put up a new mirror and do what I could with the vanity. I got a tip from a friend to pop off the decorative pieces, which my husband helped me with. I spackled and sanded those spots, and then I painted the whole thing to make it a little more tolerable for the time being.

Then we decided, while we we were at tiling the master bathroom, we’d buy a little extra to do the guest bathroom. TJ was a pro by now, after all! And at that point, might as well switch out the vanity. Oh, and let’s just get rid of that old vanity light, too. And get a new shower curtain since the other one was a hand-me-down.

All in all, it wasn’t an expensive project but it definitely makes a huge difference.

And our guests have a mirror in their bathroom!
