Loving & Eyeing Lately | Ninth Edition

Whew I haven’t done one of these in a minute!!! I’m back — and this series is being expanded to include a “what I am eyeing” lately section. Originally I had been including what I have been loving lately — things I already own, do, eat, drink, listen to, etc. I am also constantly eyeing new things and keeping new ideas on my radar too, and I figure they are worth sharing with you. So here we go. I am loving lately: a fall candle, a piece of furniture, a bracelet, photos from a photo shoot I did recently, and a podcast.

I am eyeing lately: hands-free slip on sneakers, knee high boots, pretty curtains, a local flower press company, and a new waterfront restaurant in downtown Charleston.

Loving Lately

Fontana Candle Company - Cinnamon Orange Clove

I love these candles because they are clean burning, which means they only use non toxic materials and pure essential oils - no synthetic fragrance. The use of essential oils for candles can often mean that the scent is very light, but I found this one is pretty strong and just the perfect fall scent. A little earthy and not too sweet.

I also love their Spiced Latte and I am looking forward to trying their Frasier Fir!

IKEA Hemnes Day Bed

The guest bedroom is now baby girl’s room, so we’ve lost an unshared space for guests. Thankfully it is a pretty good sized room so I wanted to keep it useable for guests by getting a day bed. But, I didn’t want a traditional day bed which is a twin with a twin trundle that pulls out underneath. My sister has this IKEA day bed and it pulls out and up into a king size bed which is so much better for guests. Apparently this kind of day bed is pretty rare!

We got this last week and my husband built it this past weekend and it is so great. I love that it has a bit of a head board and side boards (the others I found don’t) and 3 really deep drawers. It comes in white, gray and black-brown. We got the black-brown.

FYI It took my husband about 3 hours to build.

FYI #2 We used the local company The Modhouse SC to pick up and deliver from IKEA for us. They make trips to the Charlotte, Atlanta, and possibly Jacksonville IKEA too.

Grit & Grace Adjustable Bolo Bracelet

I really don’t wear or purchase much jewelry, so I must really love it when I do! This bracelet is simple and elegant. And affordable!

I have tiny wrists and it’s hard for me to wear bracelets. What I love about this bracelet is that it adjusts to as tight as you want it! There are a lot of stone options. I think mine is the pink agate.

Motherhood Photos with Amy Patrice

I never did maternity photos with Wyatt. I don’t know…. I think they can be kind of cheesy and I would feel so silly. But after the fact, I kind of wished I had.

Over the past few months I realized how few photos I am in with Wyatt. Sometimes I do silly selfies with him, and Lord do I have a million photos of him, but I have hardly any nice photos of me and him. When I got pregnant with baby sister it started to make me sad that my time is limited with he as my one and only.

I came across someone’s motherhood session with her daughter shot by Amy and they were so beautiful. Right then and there I decided I need to do it, too. I’m so so happy I did. These photos are so beautiful and so special and I will cherish them forever.

Radio Rental Podcast

Just in time for spoOooOoky season, Radio Rental released a new season of the podcast. I’ve been looking forward to it for over a year!!! This podcast is creepy AF. “Real-life horror stories, from bizarre crimes to paranormal activity.” I still think about some of the stories I heard when I first found this podcast over a year ago. Totally worth checking out!

Eyeing Lately

Kizik hands-free slip on shoes. (seriously— click the link to see how they work!) I need these so bad already but they are sold out in my size so I have been watching their website for a re-stock.

J.Crew Sadie knee-high boots in leather Also currently sold out in my size but maybe they have yours!

Pink Scalloped Blackout Curtains. Love these for baby girl’s room.

Pretty Petal Press for my dried wedding bouquet. I’ve held on to my wedding bouquet for 3.5 years. It’s completely dry and very sad looking, but I just can’t throw it away. I recently discovered this local company that can supposedly help!

Island Cabana Bar. A brand new waterfront bar/restaurant downtown. I love dining with a view and we don’t have a ton of restaurants on the water so I want to check this place out ASAP while the weather is so nice.
